The activities we carry out during the school
year either daily or weekly depends on the school's time table.
Studies:are carried out from Mondays to Fridays, even some Saturdays depending on the class, especially examination classes.
Classes begin from 7:30am to 2:00pm and each period lasts 40minutes.

Sports:
Sporting activities are during normal study periods for the junior classes since it is
one of the subjects offered in school. However, all the students have games three times
a week from 5.10 to 6.00p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday. The students are involved
in various disciplines like handball, Volleyball, Basketball. Apart from these, the school
also participates in school competitions like: fenassco. etc.
christians Activities:The students receive regular religious instructions / moral instructions and counselling. We have Masses on
Campus daily. The girls serve in the parish by reading and leading the singing at Sunday Masses, contributing to the seminary collection and the harvest thanksgiving.
The students clean the Cathedral and take part in some other important parish activities.
Each year, a certain number of our Catholics receive the Sacrament of Baptism, Holy Eucharist or Confirmation, and their parents are in attendance.
Our Presbyterian students attend service in their church on Sundays and on some other important church occasions.
Students are encouraged to make regular use of the Chapel by visiting the Blessed Sacrament at their free periods.
Bible passages are read for reflection at morning assembly and prayers for vocations are also said.
The students, accompanied by their teachers sometimes visit the less privileged like the prison, hospitals,
the old and infirm, Handicapped, Emmaus centre, New Hope Village, Mbingo, the Treasure Centre, The Bali Bawock people who had been displaced because of a tribal war with their neighbouring village, with gifts in cash and kind.
Contributions are made by the students to support the orphans among them. These are distributed according to needs.
The school offers masses for deceased parents and siblings of teachers and students. When they are very sick, they are also visited. Students also offered masses for various intentions.
Recreation:
There is time for games / sports everyday. Each class watch the video, once a week for relaxation. Every class too learn the piano, a donation from generous people and led in singing during weekly and Sunday. They also have xylophone and drumming practices once every week. The students enjoy all this as they are enabled to develop their talents.
The school also has a cultural dance group, which always participate at the inter-school competition during the Youth Week. The students take an active part in the Youth Week activities. They march both in 11th February and 20th May and even took third position this year.

education and it is also well known for its excellence in public examinations especially the GCE Ordinary Level. Since inception in 1963, Lourdes College has enrolled about 3510 students out of which 2229 graduated successfully.
Manual Labour Every student spend one hour a week, cutting grass, working on the farm, cracking Egusi or picking vegetable
Clubs:
We have ten clubs directed by teachers. Some of these are: Drama, Press,
journalism, debate, science clubs, etc. Those that were active received
presents during the prize-giving ceremony. Every student is involved in a club.
Each club meets on Wednesday evening and is directed by one or more members of staff.
Health:
The health of the students is very well catered for. We have a Health Club and a
very good resident Nurse, who consults students needing medical attention everyday.
Those who have asthma or other illnesses are taught how to manage their respective conditions
by the School Nurse. The Nurse also teaches Health Education.
Dicipline:
Our Lady Of Lourdes College is an established institution with rules and regulation that
are being followed by all the girls who gain admission into the school.
Nevertheless, some deviant cases are sometimes recorded and handled by either the Principal
or the Discipline Master. Serious cases are referred to the disciplinary committee comprising
the Principal, Bursar, Discipline Master and two other staff members where decisions are taken
ranging from suspension to dismissal depending on the gravity of the crime.
