Aim of the school The aim of the school is to give a Christian Education to the girls in order to prepare them to be responsible as well as provide the basis for further training.

This renowned institution for girls is owned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Bamenda in Cameroon and is administered by the Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary ( MSHR ), a congregation of women religious well known for their zeal and excellence in education/pedagogy. This institution was opened on 15th October 1963 with an enrolment of 35girls. Today it has a population of over 472 students in the first cycle and 149 in the second cycle. OLLC provides holistic education and it is also well known for its excellence in public examinations especially the GCE Ordinary Level.

Since inception in 1963, Lourdes College has enrolled about 3510 students out of which 2229 graduated successfully. This year the pioneer students of the second cycle, who are 71 in number, will for the first time write the GCE Advanced Level in June 2007. We can only hope for our usual excellent results.
