To guarantee effective and intensive classes, the school has decided to set up a multimedia Lab made up of about 45 functional computers with repairs and replacements guaranteed and more personnel to handle computer lessons. This is run in partnership with the Association for Development, Communication and Environment (ADCOME) a renowned experts in the field of Information and Communication Tecnologies (ICTs) and MTN Foundation through a project known as the School Connectivity Project (SCP).
On the 1st of June 2005, the Governor of the North West Province inaugurated our Multimedia Lab. It was very welcomed by the entire OLLC Mankon family. The direct beneficiaries are the students and staff of the school. Students are given the priority because learning in a computer age as ours, demands that one be current with the modern concepts and facts in various fields of study. So, by acquainting our young secondary school students with IT concepts we are directly preparing them for post-secondary education where IT is best applied in studies and research programmes. We therefore are ever indebted to all those who made this dream a reality. |
